Apple is developing an iPad with a folding screen, but the novelty will not appear on the market until 2025. This is reported by 91mobiles, citing well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The network has long been circulating rumors about the iPad in a new form factor. The latest insider reports say that Apple will release it in 2025 and it will replace the iPad Mini in the market. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, as it turned out, does not agree with this information.
According to Kuo, Apple is actually working on an iPad with a foldable screen and it will probably come out in 2025. However, Kuo is sure that the American corporation will not remove the iPad Mini from sales because of the novelty. The fact is that the foldable iPad will be a very expensive device and will perform in a completely different price category than the iPad Mini.
91mobiles added that indirectly Kuo’s thesis is confirmed by rumors about Apple’s partnership with Samsung and LG in the production of foldable OLED panels with a diagonal of 20.25 inches. Journalists believe that the huge display is highly likely intended for a foldable iPad, which, due to its screen size, is likely to compete with the MacBook, and not with other Apple tablets.
Earlier, Gazeta.Ru wrote that in 2023 Apple will introduce an iPad Mini with an improved processor.
