Andrey Klishas , head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, called the proposal to confiscate the property of Russians who left the country and send it to the needs of a special operation in Ukraine unconstitutional .
“It is anti-constitutional, which is why it is unrealizable,” the politician wrote in his Telegram channel .
Thus, Klishas commented on the idea of Senator Sergei Tsekov , who said that the Russians who left the country and criticize it should have their property confiscated and sent to the participants in the special operation. In particular, Tsekov pointed to the singer Alla Pugacheva and her husband Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). He stressed that “pouring mud on one’s Motherland” should be condemned not only by society, but also by the state.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev proposed not to let back those who left Russia “until the end of their days” and cut off their sources of income.
