The Russian government has extended the preferential mortgage until July 1, 2024. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet .
The corresponding decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin .
It is clarified that a mortgage loan at a rate of up to 8% per annum can be provided directly for the purchase of housing in new buildings, the construction of a private house or the purchase of a land plot for its construction.
The maximum loan amount at a preferential rate in Moscow , St. Petersburg , Moscow and Leningrad regions is 12 million rubles. For other Russian regions – 6 million rubles. Initial payment – not less than 15%.
The new resolution also expanded the terms of the Family Mortgage program. Previously, Russian families with at least one child born after January 1, 2018 could participate in the program. Now families with two minor children will be able to use the program, it does not matter when they were born.
Earlier, the director of the financial stability department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (CB), Elizaveta Danilova , said that Russia wants to make preferential mortgages more targeted, limiting the number of opportunities to receive them.
