After a dead 15-year-old was found in Salzgitter, two young people are considered urgent suspects. The public prosecutor’s office in Braunschweig announced on Wednesday that it was a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old.
On Tuesday, the police found the body of a young female while looking for a girl in a park in Salzgitter, Lower Saxony. The girl has been missing since Sunday evening. The cause of death was initially unclear. “We are investigating in all directions,” said a police spokesman on Tuesday.
Up to 50 officers meticulously searched for traces in the afternoon, and a drone was also used. The spokesman did not rule out a violent crime.
In the morning, the police published a description of the teenager and intensified the search in the Fredenberg district. Several roads were closed. The Salzgitter police were supported by forces from the central police department and the service dog squadron, according to a statement. (dpa)
